The general medical rehabilitation unit (GMRU) provides rehabilitation services to patients with a variety of orthopedic, neurologic and complex medical disabling conditions and diverse other challenges such as post-surgical rehabilitation. The unit admits approximately 900 patients yearly.
The physicians within the GMRU are specialty trained, as is the multidisciplinary staff. Mount Sinai’s GMRU is CARF-accredited.
