Message from the Director
We strive to provide compassionate, individualized care to older adults with neuropsychiatric illnesses. The Division of Geriatric Psychiatry includes the Outpatient Geriatric Psychiatry Clinic, housed in the Martha Stewart Center for Living, and the Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry Unit, located on 7 South of Mount Sinai's Klingenstein Clinical Center.
Our staff includes physicians, psychiatric nurses, and licensed clinical social workers, among other mental health care disciplines, trained to take care of the psychiatric needs of older adults by providing hands-on, evidence-based care. Participation in clinical research protocols providing state-of-the-art therapies is also available.
Our goal is to evaluate and treat older adults with neuropsychiatric illnesses in the most effective and compassionate manner in order to enhance quality of life for our patients and their families.
