Midwifery Services

  1. During Pregnancy: Midwives monitor the health of the mother and baby regularly throughout pregnancy, and they teach and answer questions about proper diet, personal hygiene, exercise, sleep travel and maintaining a healthy lifestyle

     

  2. During Labor: Midwives are at the hospital from the moment the expectant mother arrives, evaluating progress. They also offer emotional and physical support. Parents can expect the most natural and uncomplicated birth experience possible. An anesthesiologist is readily available if pain relief is desired. If complications should arise, a physician is immediately available for consultation and management

     

  3. Post Partum: The midwife provides advice on breastfeeding, baby care and other issues beginning immediately after birth

     

  4. Follow-up: The midwife offers helpful advice about reproductive health, birth control and personal care

     

  5. Gynecological care: Midwives perform regular gynecological care, such as annual pelvic examinations, breast exams and Pap smears
