Dr. Joshua Bederson, who performed the delicate surgery to save Loor’s life on April 17, said the wheelchair was just a formality. One day earlier, the recovering cop went for a jog through Central Park. “I don’t know when he’ll be running his next marathon, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he did that someday,” said Dr. Bederson.

Dr. Joshua Bederson, who performed the delicate surgery to save Loor’s life on April 17, said the wheelchair was just a formality. One day earlier, the recovering cop went for a jog through Central Park. “I don’t know when he’ll be running his next marathon, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he did that someday,” said Dr. Bederson. “I’m just happy I’m alive,” the 28-year-old officer said as he exited Mount Sinai Medical Center in a wheelchair pushed by his partner, Officer Luckson Merisme.
