The Mount Sinai Epilepsy Center is a level four epilepsy center, where comprehensive work-up, diagnostic tests, and treatments are performed by physicians who specialize in epilepsy.

Lara V. Marcuse, MD is Co-director of the Mount Sinai Epilepsy Center. Dr. Marcuse received her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she received the Dean’s Recognition Award for exceptional clinical and pre-clinical work and the Daniel Mann Award for outstanding service to underserved communities. Her research interests include the evaluation and treatment of epilepsy, including epilepsy and pregnancy, epilepsy caused by other neurological diseases, electroencephalography, non-epileptic seizures, and post-traumatic epilepsy.
Madeline C. Fields, MD is Co-director of the Mount Sinai Epilepsy Center. Dr. Fields completed her neurology residency at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she received the Resident of the Year Award and the Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award. She completed a two-year fellowship at NYU Langone Medical Center in Neurophysiology. During her fellowship, she was the recipient of the National Epifellows Award. Dr. Fields is dedicated to taking care of patients and providing support and resources to patients and families. Her interests include first-time seizures, medically refractory epilepsy, autism and epilepsy, in hospital seizures, and non-convulsive status.
Ji (Jenna) Yeoun Yoo, MD is Assistant Professor of Neurology at Mount Sinai. Dr. Yoo received her neurology residency training at the Icahn School of Medicine and fellowship training in electroencephalography (EEG) and epilepsy at the Yale University Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. Her clinical interests include medical and surgical management of epilepsy, cognitive and behavioral aspects of epilepsy, and neuroimaging.
