Mission

The Mount Sinai Sarcoidosis Support Services Group was organized in 1994 to give support and provide information to fellow Sarcoidosis patients. It is a patient-run group assisted by expert medical staff at the Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Our Mission is:

  • To remove the mystery about the disease and help patients cope with Sarcoidosis by hosting monthly support meetings at Mount Sinai Medical Center to discuss up-to-date, reliable medical information and to learn more about how the disease behaves.
  • To provide general information about special services for Sarcoidosis patients.
  • To increase public awareness about this unknown disease.
  • To generate interest in sarcoidosis and support research, leading to easy diagnosis, better treatments and, ultimately, a cure for Sarcoidosis.
