Ruttenberg Center to move to CSM building in 2012
Slated to open in the second half of 2012, Mount Sinai’s new Center for Science and Medicine (CSM) building, and its adjacent tower, are currently under construction at 102nd Street and Madison Avenue. Comprised of nearly a half million square feet, a full 40 percent of this new building is devoted to cancer research and treatment.
Floors 3 and 4 of the CSM will house the relocated and expanded Ruttenberg Treatment Center. Approximately 50,000 square feet of space will be available, more than doubling the Center’s size. The new space will include 49 infusion bays, 48 exam rooms, expanded laboratory testing, and an onsite pharmacy (including a dedicated research pharmacy). Also offered will be expanded social services, including counseling and support groups. In addition, the CSM will have state-of-the-art cancer imaging in the building’s lower level.
