Lung Cancer Program

The Lung Cancer Program, part of The Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai Medical Center, offers the most up-to-date services available for the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and management of lung cancer and other tumors of the chest (thoracic). We have long been at the forefront of breakthroughs in diagnosing and treating lung cancer. Medical sites throughout the United States and around the world follow Mount Sinai’s Lung Screening protocol.

Our physicians have significant expertise in the full range of thoracic cancers, including:

Our Multidisciplinary Teams

We offer a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, team approach to each patient. Doctors from different specialties work together to provide compassionate patient-centered care. Each of our doctors has a specific area of focus (thoracic surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and interventional radiology, for example). As part of our approach, they participate in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards where they discuss the best approach to each patient’s specific situation. In the Lung Cancer Program at Mount Sinai, patients do not just get one doctor, but rather a whole team of expert physicians.

Support for Patients and Caregivers

We are dedicated to providing the best care to patients with thoracic cancers and their loved ones. This includes compassionate nursing , nutritional consultations, counseling services, and support groups.
