Dr. Tiersten is an Associate Professor in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology. She is a medical oncologist with expertise in breast cancer who joined the medical oncology program at Mount Sinai in January 2013. She works collaboratively with Mount Sinai breast surgeons,radiation oncologists, radiologists, and other related subspecialists to provide care to breast cancer patients and conduct breast cancer research.

Elisa Port, MD, FACS
Dr. Port is the Co-Director of the Dubin Breast Center. She is a surgeon who specializes in the care and treatment of patients with breast cancer, and those at increased risk for breast cancer. Dr. Port has extensive experience with sentinel lymph node biopsy, nipple sparing mastectomy, and the newest techniques in breast cancer surgery for both invasive breast cancer and DCIS.
Hank Schmidt, MD, PhD
Dr. Schmidt is a surgical oncologist specializing in treatment of breast cancer and other breast diseases. His practice also focuses on cancer risk and individuals at high risk for cancer development. Dr. Schmidt is committed to personalized treatment planning and incorporation of novel therapies to improve breast cancer survival.

Ira J. Bleiweiss, MD
Dr. Bleiweiss is an internationally known surgical pathologist specializing in breast pathology. He is a Professor of Pathology, Chief of Anatomic Pathology, and Director of the Division of Breast Pathology. He is an active participant in national clinical breast cancer trials and has led the Breast Pathology Cadre of Cancer and Leukemia Group B, one of the Cooperative Clinical Oncology Groups sponsored by the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Bleiweiss is an expert in the interpretation of breast core biopsies and methods of correlating their pathologic findings with imaging characteristics.
Shabnam Jaffer, MD
Dr. Jaffer is a nationally recognized surgical pathologist specializing in breast pathology. She is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and is a member of the Breast Pathology Cadre of Cancer and Leukemia Group B.
