Before Your Visit

The Department of International Services will provide:

• An estimate for the anticipated medical services at our institution
• Instructions to arrange for the initial deposit to be made prior to arrival at our institution
• Confirmation of your medical appointments and procedures will be provided to you
• Assistance and guidance with any paperwork required in obtaining a medical visa

During Your Visit

The Department of International Services will:

• Provide a patient service specialist who will be available to you to guarantee patient and family needs are met throughout your medical treatment
• Guarantee that an interpreter who will be available to you for all medical appointments if necessary
• Ensure that you understand the physicians’ course of action and instructions
• Assist you with hospital admission process and follow-up doctor visits
• Coordinate private-duty nurse arrangements and private room if requested

After Your Visit

The Department of International Services will:

• Provide you copies of your medical records
• Facilitate and expedite the payment of your medical bills
• Provide you a final bill that includes an itemized list of services
• Assist you with any medical follow-up appointments and communication with physicians
