Mount Sinai Morningside Rehabilitation Medicine

The Mount Sinai Morningside rehabilitation center provides expert care to any person in need of rehabilitation medicine services, as needed, during a patient’s stay. Our practice provides a customized and evidence-based approach to ensure optimal recovery to function and health.

Services

Patients in our 15-bed, short-term rehab unit have daily access to the program's intensive physical and occupational therapies, and speech-language pathology services. All of our patients are well cared for by an excellent around-the-clock rehab nursing and medical staff. There are three private rooms available on this unit.

In addition to the physiatrist (a doctor who specializes in rehabilitation medicine), the inpatient rehab team includes a nurse practitioner, rehab nurses, social worker, and home care nurses. The rehab team meets regularly for interdisciplinary team and patient/family education conferences and continues through follow-up after discharge.
