Work in Dr. Friedel's laboratory addresses the molecular pathways that promote the migration of brain tumor cells. This postdoctoral project aims at understanding the role of axon guidance molecules in the regulation brain tumor cell migration by analyzing glioma cell lines upon genetic manipulation in in vitro assays and in transplantation experiments.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. In Neuroscience, Biology, Oncology or a related field. They should also be highly motivated and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience with molecular cloning, stereotactic surgery, and cell culture techniques is especially desirable.
