Post-doctoral position available to study epigenetics in zebrafish and mice
Highly motivated and collaborative applicants are sought for a position of Postdoctoral Fellow in the group of Dr. Kirsten Sadler Edepli at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. Projects focused on the epigenetic regulation of liver development in zebrafish and liver regeneration in mice will require an ability to manage work with both organisms. The ability to participate in bioinformatics analysis of RNAseq and genome wide methylation data is essential. Successful applicants will have obtained Ph.D. or equivalent training in developmental biology, biochemistry, genetics or regenerative biology and will be able to lead a collaborative and complex project involving multiple laboratories. The ability to work as a good natured and highly driven member of a team is essential as is the ability to communicate ideas in a clear and compelling fashion. This will be demonstrated through having a first-author publication from previous research experiences and having participated in scientific meetings.
