The Department of Preventive Medicine, Division of Environmental Health, at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is looking for a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Environmental Health.
You will participate in research studies based at Mount Sinai in Children's Environmental Health. New collaborations are welcome. The Division laboratory will be at your disposal for analysis of metals and organic compounds, as well as epigenetic marks. You will work with Dr. Rosalind Wright on the New York Birth cohort as well. We may ask you to assist with fetal ultrasound measures or MR scanning studies as needed as well. Duties include regular meetings with Drs Wright, attendance at Division/Department research conferences, analyzing data/writing manuscripts, assisting in grant preparation, travel to research sites (with expenses covered by Dr. Wright) and research related conferences. We will provide training in the assessment and study of children's health and development and environmental health. It is our hope that this work will lead to a NIH career development award application on which you are PI within 2 years, and much of year 1will be geared toward preparation of your K application (including training in grant writing). You are expected to be on duty for approximately 37.5 hours per week. Your participation is solely for the purposes of research. No element of patient care services will be involved.
