A federally funded Postdoctoral Fellow - Research Associate position is available to study mechanisms regulating inflammation and regeneration in the brain and spinal cord. Core techniques include culture and coculture of primary rodent and human astroglia and cerebrovascular endothelia, microarray analysis of responses of these populations to defined inflammatory stimuli, and in vivo validation of resulting data using conditional knockout animal models and pathologic human samples.

Interested candidates should have a PhD or MD degree, a strong background in molecular and cellular neurobiology, good scientific writing skills, and at least one first author publication in a peer-reviewed journal with an established international readership.
