The Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) under the direction of Mary Sano, PhD, is a unique program in the greater New York metropolitan area dedicated exclusively to the study and treatment of Alzheimer's Disease and other memory and thinking disorders. We are currently seeking a post-doctoral scholar for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow. She/he will chiefly assist the ADRC Director and her senior-level delegates in research investigations, the tasks of which would include neuropsychological testing, data collection and management, manuscript preparation, assistance in neuroimaging and blood biomarker data analysis, coordination of research study recruitment and visits, and clinical trial methodologies. Additionally, they will assist the PI in writing and reviewing new grant applications. This position takes direction from the PI: Mary Sano, PhD.
* Neuropsychological testing
* Data collection and management
* Manuscript preparation
* Liaise with clinical centers for purposes of subject recruitment
* Assist with clinical trial management and design
* Manage and analyze data
* Present findings at national conferences and local seminars/meetings
* Assist in grant writing
* Assist in supervision of ad hoc research tasks as PI delegate
Minimum requirements are a PhD in Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related field; a strong background in biology or neuroscience; and prior research and/or clinical experience.
Prior experience in research in neuroimaging and neuropsychological studies.
Microsoft Office - Advanced.
SPSS or SAS - Intermediate to Advanced.
Acquisition and maintenance of all local, national and federal HIPAA Certifications
Research theory training/experience (through previous research lab experience)
Excellent written and oral communication
Organized, resourceful, and detailed-oriented
Strong multi-tasking, project and time management, problem-solving and organizational skills
Familiarity with the NIH (or other sponsor) grant submission process to assist PI in submission of grants
