The Department of Preventive Medicine, Division of Environmental Health at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine is looking for a post-doctoral fellow to participate in research studies based on Children's Environmental Health. You will be provided with laboratory work space for your work on metals and epigenetics. The Division laboratory will be at your disposal for analysis of metals and organic compounds, as well as elemental mapping, DNA methylation and miRNA. Duties include regular meetings with supervisor Dr. Robert Wright, attendance at Division/Department research conferences, analyzing data/writing manuscripts, assisting in grant preparation, travel to research sites (with expenses covered by Dr Wright) and research related conferences. Candidate will be trained in the assessment and study of children's health and development and environmental health. It is our hope that this work will lead to a NIH career development award application on which you are PI within 2-3 years, and much of year 1-2 will be geared toward preparation of a K application (including training in grant writing). Your participation is solely for the purposes of research. No element of patient care services will be involved. New collaborations are welcome.
