A post-doctoral scientist position is available for translational research of genitourinary (GU) cancer in the Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai Medical Center. The qualified candidate will work with other members of the GU cancer program to understand the biology the GU cancer in order to benefit the clinical management of the disease. One key project will involve development and validation of gene signatures related to the diagnosis of prostate cancer and prediction of survival.
The qualified candidate should have a Ph.D. in a related field, highly experienced with cell and molecular biology and biochemistry.
Experience with gene expression profiling and multiplex PCR is a plus. Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
Strong work ethic, creativity, and enthusiasm required.
