The Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium is looking for an individual with strong leadership skills as a Meeting Planner to assist in organizing an annual multispecialty three-day professional meeting for Oncologists, Hematologists and other Cancer Care Providers.
The individual will be expected to work independently under supervision of the Conference Directors with the understanding that following a successful learning experience they will be given an opportunity to advance to the next level.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include recruiting faculty, contacts with key opinion leaders, preparation and editing of Symposium brochures, billing exhibitors, forms and promotion materials, data bases, spread sheets, detailed record keeping, web site updates, coordination with staff and outside resources, participate in fund-raising and promotional activities. Individual should be a cooperative and dependable team player.
Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing or a related field required
3-5 years of special events planning experience
-Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
-Ability to multitasking with accuracy and efficiency under pressure is a must
-Excellent organizational, planning and negotiating skills
-Ability to organize systems
-Problem solving skills
Proficiency with an Apple/MAC required
High level computer skills
Use of Social Media
Knowledge of Internet Research required
Familiarity with mobile devices required
