1.Plans and schedules work for staff to ensure proper distribution of assignments and adequate staffing, space and facilities for subsequent performance of duties.
2.Ensures adequate staffing for unexpected/emergency coverage.
3.Educates, evaluates and holds accountable all staff members as to all Patients and Employee Satisfaction initiatives
4.Establishes reviews and revises work processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective administrative activities.
5.Demonstrates a judicious use of financial and material resources including manpower, supplies, and equipment within budgetary guidelines
6.Makes recommendations regarding fiscal and staffing requirements of the unit to assist in the preparation of budgetary recommendations.
7.Assists in the development of new methods, procedures and/or processes to increase efficiency and to improve service deliver, production, equipment performance, scheduling and quality control.
8.Establishes and maintains liaison with other departments, units or care centers, as well as within own department, to ensure effective coordination of work activities.
9.Fosters an environment of open communication and team work in support of the department and organization's goals and objectives.
10.Investigates and responds to all service related issues. Ensures compliance with departmental and organizational policies & procedures.
11.Provides work direction, guidance, and coaching. Supervises and coordinates various personnel activities including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, training and cross training, and disciplinary action as appropriate.
12.Prepares and examines patients for ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental procedures and techniques.
13.Operates and adjusts ultrasound equipment, takes safety precautions necessary to protect patients and personnel from hazards.
14.Sets up, operates, cleans and makes minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment.
15.Ensures adequate supplies are available for use.
16.Assists in the orientation of new Ultrasound personnel to the department.
17.Captures images onto PACS and transfers to physicians' work stations.
18.Answers telephones, schedules examinations and may initiate transportation.
19.Verifies patient identification as to departmental policy. Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
20.Performs other duties as required.
Registered ARDMS technologist with excellent technical skills.
