PFS/Revenue Cycle Project Coordinator works under the direction of the Sr. Director of PFS Systems. The PFS/Revenue Cycle Project Coordinator follows projects assigned through all phases, provides timelines and updates. The PFS/Revenue Cycle Project Coordinator is responsible for the Denial Reporting application and the Hospital Eligibility system application.
A-Denial Reporting Application:
Responsible for updating applications tables and dictionary's. Participates in weekly call to vender on new/open issues and is the go to person for any enhancements to application. Responsible for training and assisting other departments (trouble shooting). Prepares and distributes monthly reports to specific hospital distribution. Runs query listings for PFS/Finance requests.
B-Hospital Eligibility Application:
Responsible for updating applications' tables and dictionary's on payer/plan information. Responsible for Bad Plan set-ups and self-audits applications functionality periodically and reports back to Vice President and Sr. Director of PFS. Responsible for specific outputs provided to PFS.
1-Responsible for projects assigned for the Patient Financial Services Department; must be familiar with hospital patient accounts system and all other applications that department uses.
2-Responsible of assignment of project; develops and maintains a detailed project schedule which includes administrative tasks. Ensures adherence to deadlines.
3-Creates curriculum on Project to be used for training when applicable.
4-Partners with various hospital managers, hospital staff and vender/consultants as required with respect to the project.
5-Organizes, leads and facilitates project-related meetings, including the creation of agendas and preparation of material. Prepares and/or edits meeting minutes, presentations and tables.
6-Monitors project deliverables and timelines, notifies management when issues arise, and takes corrective actions, as needed.
7-Maintains detailed records and documentation of project activity and may be responsible for developing uniform procedures for storing and keeping appropriate documentation. Provides feedback to communicate project findings as appropriate.
8-May work with the participating members of the project to ensure all necessary communications are made timely and accurately.
9-May develop reports and other deliverables as assigned.
10-Tracks project changes and produces schedules as required.
Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree preferred
5 years of relevant experience; project management experience preferred.
