Job Description The Translational and Molecular Imaging Institute (TMII) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking an associate researcher to support the Cancer Imaging Program and the Body MRI research group. Among expected tasks, the associate researcher is expected to help create, maintain and customize an imaging informatics system for cancer and body imaging users. Duties and Responsibilities are given below, but not limited to - Assists in complex projects including design, development, testing, reports, related policies/procedures and system documentation - Consults with users to identify and analyze their computer application, system and database support needs, investigates user problems, identifies their source and determines possible solutions - Designs, develops and maintains application software as needed - Identifies and develops tools, techniques and procedures for improving the performance, availability and reliability of system-related applications - Trains users in system-related applications - Creates and updates technical documentation
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or in a technology related discipline
- Knowledge of MR physics, image processing and experience in quantitative analysis desirable but not required
- Demonstrates programming skills (C/C++ and Matlab) and applicable technical expertise
- Excellent communicational and organizational skills and the ability to work with others
