The Mount Sinai Department of Preventive Medicine Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health (SCOH) Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of nursing practice and operations for all SCOH Practice locations in the New York City and Lower Hudson Valley Regions. The Clinical Nurse Manager oversees nursing operations directly related to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of occupational illnesses and injuries. The Clinical Nurse Manager collaborates in the strategic development of wellness and preventive initiatives as well as in the development of a nursing case management program. The Clinical Nurse Manager directly supervises licensed nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants and technicians. Job responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse Manager includes but are not limited to staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, staffing, employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, internal and external regulatory and survey requirements. The Clinical Nurse Manager maintains a regular clinical practice as directed by the Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health Medical Director.

Master's degree program designed to prepare a registered nurse to provide acute/primary health care services or the successful completion of an approved supplemental education program, i.e., post-Masters NP certificate.
Minimum of three years of progressive nursing leadership experience demonstrating solid management abilities. Clinical experience relevant to the area of Occupational Medicine strongly preferred.
State Certification: Certified by New York State Department of Education as a Nurse Practitioner is required as follows:
a. Is a graduate of New York State registered Nurse Practitioner Program or equivalent OR is certified as a Nurse Practitioner by a national association via examination.
b. Has completed a pharmacy component of not less than the required semester hours or the equivalent AND has been instructed in New York State and federal Laws relating to prescriptions and recordkeeping (3-hour course).
c. Has a collaborative practice agreement with a physician and designated protocols, both filed with the New York State Department of Education
