Job Description:

The Director of Payor Systems is responsible for the leading the IT functions necessary implement and maintain various solutions related to the Health System's Payor initiative. He/she will organize, direct, and assume responsibility for all IT activities related to the development and delivery of high-quality services / solutions to support the Health Systems shift toward becoming a risk-based healthcare organization. This is a new position supporting an emerging and continually developing strategy which will report to a Senior Director in Information Systems.



Key Accountabilities:

*Establish and manage a team of professional that will define, implement and optimize risk solutions and services supporting our payor systems initiative.

*Establish and support the governance structure required for successful implementations.

*Facilitate stakeholder meetings to define system requirements.

*Work directly with all key constituents to execute against project timelines throughout implementation lifecycle.

*Integrate the defined solutions with the various data systems used across the Health System

*Produce management reports for presentation to senior leadership as required.

*Devise creative solutions to improve system performance and/or customize commercial systems to meet the needs of the Health System.

*Solve complex system implementation problems with support from the technical teams.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

*Bachelor's Degree in technology, business administration, healthcare management/finance or other related field.



Experience:

*5 years plus of experience in the insurance field, a significant portion of which involved evaluating and/or implementing IT system solutions.

*A solid understanding of the healthcare payor market including trends, technologies and vendor solutions.

*Proven skills in the areas of vendor relationship management, strategy development, project management and change management.

*Experience working with business intelligence and reporting tools.

*Demonstrated aptitude for analytical thinking including the ability to research and resolve problems, identify solutions and implement resolutions through interaction with companywide personnel

*Demonstrated executive level oral and written communication and presentation skills

*Professional and positive approach in building relationships and quickly gain credibility with senior executives.

*Self-motivated, dynamic, creative and able to work on own initiative
