"We are very excited about the tremendous growth of our social media communities, and about the opportunities created by that growth to learn from, educate and engage with patients, supporters, students and employees," said Leonard Achan. "Mount Sinai's social media strategy has been to offer dynamic and accessible expert content that empowers and inspires our audience to live healthier lives. To see so many people across the nation interacting on our social media channels is a sign that we are on the right track.”

"We continue to recognize social media as an innovative tool to establish meaningful connections with our patients and employees," said Kenneth L. Davis, MD, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Mount Sinai Health System. "We are excited about the potential of digital and social media to transform health care delivery and education, and plan to greatly expand our offerings in 2015."
