Margaret Coughlin, MBA, Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer of the Mount Sinai Health System provides leadership and strategic guidance for all marketing, marketing communications, and branding efforts across the Health System, including our seven hospitals and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Ms. Coughlin joined us from Boston Children’s Hospital, where she became Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer in 2011. At Boston Children’s Hospital, Ms. Coughlin spearheaded a rebranding effort that included a reputation improvement initiative including external ratings such as U.S. News and World Reports and patient engagement/reputation. She also drove a marketing revenue effort that encompassed increased customer digital engagement, revenue attribution, physician business development, and a strong international business development and expansion strategy.

Ms. Coughlin began her marketing career at Procter and Gamble, and worked with several international advertising agencies—notably Hill Holliday, Arnold Communications, and BBDO—in progressive leadership roles to strategize the marketing of a diverse group of national consumer brands including Hasbro, Reebok, Fidelity, and Credit Suisse.
