MSHP ACO, LLC

Mount Sinai Health Partners Accountable Care Organization, LLC (MSHP ACO, LLC) has been accepted into the Medicare Shared Savings Program (Shared Savings Program) Track 1+ Accountable Care Organization (ACO), a health care delivery model sponsored by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). MSHP ACO, LLC is currently comprised of two Long Island based multi-specialty group practices.

Under the MSHP ACO, LLC, Mount Sinai Health System was given an opportunity in January 2018 to participate in this Medicare ACO Track 1+ model. This Medicare ACO Track 1+ model will allow providers to join Advanced Alternative Payment Models to improve care and potentially earn an incentive payment under the Quality Payment Program, created by the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA).

The Medicare ACO Track 1+ model will test a payment model that incorporates more limited downside risk than is currently present in Tracks 2 or 3 of the Medicare Shared Savings Program in order to encourage more rapid progression to performance-based risk.
