Farm Share

The Mount Sinai Farm Share is a community supported agriculture (CSA) program, where individuals buy a “share” in a local organic farm. By purchasing a share, each member gets a portion of the farm’s weekly crop.

Each week during the summer and autumn seasons, the farm drops off the produce and members pick up their share at the Mount Sinai distribution site on East 99th Street and Madison Avenue.

There are many reasons to participate in a farm share program. By supporting a local farm, members are directly supporting small farmers and contributing to the local community. Buying local also reduces pollution from transportation and buying organic ensures that vegetables are grown without pesticides and chemical fertilizers.
