"New York City Boosts Colorectal Cancer Screenings Between 2003 and 2012"

According to a study published in the journal Cancer, researchers from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai observed New York City’s colorectal cancer screening rates to quantify the city’s efforts to increase screening. “The increased screening rates from 2003 to 2012 translates to an additional 833,000 New Yorkers who have undergone screening colonoscopy and represents an important public health intervention,” said Steven Itzkowitz MD, a professor of oncological science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
