Life as a nurse means 12-hour shifts, sacrificing holidays, missing tuck-ins and endless hours comforting and suffering. Dominique Monsegur, RN, knows the routine well. She has been a registered nurse at The Mount Sinai Hospital for more than three decades, long enough to see some of her earliest patients return with their kids. For National Nurses Week, The Mount Sinai Hospital thought Monsegar deserved a bigger bonus. They hand-picked the registered nurse, who recently won an Award for Excellence in Nursing Practice, to receive a living room makeover compliments of Good Housekeeping.
