Description
The 3rd Annual CePORTED Symposium is focused on the development of outstanding clinical/translational investigators and allied health care professionals. The symposium will foster critical thinking skills, analytical acumen, and ability to pose important questions to solve problems of disease through exposure to leaders conducting cross disciplinary research employing a range of study designs, novel approaches & techniques, and methodologies & analytical tools. The symposium includes a plenary session, panel discussion focused on mentor-mentee relationships, workshops, and a closing reception. This year our plenary session will focus on “Impact of the Urban Environment on Health & Disease” and will be co-sponsored by the Global Health Institute.
This year, the 3rd annual symposium is being held back-to-back with the 1st BERD symposium on Friday, January 21, on Challenges for Recruitment to Randomized Clinical Trials. These back-to-back symposiums will provide an ideal training venue for seasoned, mid-career, and developing public health and clinical/translational investigators.
