Research in my laboratory is focused on increasing our fundamental understanding of how calcium signaling in heart cells interacts with and influences the heart's electrical and mechanical function. By combining state-of-the-art experimental techniques with computational modeling, the work provides insight into the regulation of normal heart function as well as how this regulation may be altered in pathological states such as heart failure.
