Marie Teil, Director of Operations
In addition to overseeing the Biobank project, Dr. Marie Teil is also the Director of the Clinical Trials Office in the Department of Medicine. She received her M.D. from University Claude Bernard in Lyon, France and has been managing clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies as well as academics for more than 10 years. Prior to joining IPM, she worked for Mount Sinai School of Medicine Institutional Review Board as Director of Education, Conflict of Interest Officer and Director of Monitoring.

Melissa Pessin-Minsley, Director, CCL
Dr. Melissa Pessin-Minsley is the Medical Director of the Center for Clinical Laboratories, Mount Sinai Hospital and Vice Chair, Department of Pathology, Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Pessin-Minsley received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Princeton University and her M.D., Ph.D. from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She did a post-doctoral fellowship with the Nobel Laureate Dr. Paul Greengard and her residency in Pathology at the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia University. She is board certified in Clinical Pathology, as well as Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine. Dr. Pessin-Minsley's research focuses on new diagnostic test development and appropriate laboratory test utilization.

Greg Khitrov, Genomics Core Lab Director
Greg holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration, with a specialization in Technology Management from Buxton University, UK. Prior to joining Mount Sinai, Greg was director of microarray core facility at Rockefeller University where he became the expert in high throughput genomics technology and automation. At Mount Sinai, he continues similar work by establishing collaborations with other researchers at the hospital to support genetic, genomic and proteomic research.

Ben Song, Informatics
Ben received a Medical Degree from Harbin Medical University (China). He studied Computer Science at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and then joined CuraGen Corporation, where he developed software for biopharmaceutical data processing.

Crispin Goytia, Recruiter
Crispin Goytia is trained in Human Subjects Protection and HIPAA regulations, including data security. She has worked at Mount Sinai Hospital/Mount Sinai School of Medicine in the Department of Health Policy since 2003 as Assistant Researcher. She has been involved in recruiting study participants in outpatients and community based settings.

Jasmine Senaveratna, Recruiter
Jasmine Senaveratna holds a degree in Urban Studies and Education from Barnard College, Columbia University. While pursuing her degree, Jasmine spent two years at Columbia University's Data Coordinating Center, where she gained experience with numerous public health studies. Before joining the Biobank Team, she worked within the Department of Health Policy as an Assistant Researcher. Jasmine has experience with recruiting, interviewing, and consenting study participants; entering data; and providing assistance with NIH-funded studies. She is trained in human subjects' protection, HIPAA regulations, and Data Security.

Christine Hannigan, Recruiter
Currently, Christine is a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator at the Mount Sinai Medical Center and has over two years of prior experience conducting research in department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai. She is trained in human subjects protection, HIPAA Regulations, and Data Security and is recruiting donors solely from the CGMSC. Christine holds a Bachelors degree in Community Health.

Shelly Phelbs, BSN, Recruiter
Shelly holds a degree in nursing and has extensive professional work experience at University of Rochester General Neurology Clinic. She is trained in human subjects protection, HIPAA regulations, and data security. As the coordinator for NIH funded trial at the CGMS Center, she recruits donors solely from the Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Yumin Li ,Technician
Yumin joined the IPM team in 2007 after 17 years as Lab Manager in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Columbia University of New York and 20 years as Director of Biochemistry Lab and Biochemistry Assistant Professor at Fudan University of Shanghai, China.
