Internal Advisory Committee (IAC)
The Internal Advisory Committee is comprised of deans, department chairs, and center and institute directors with research and/or clinical interest in personalized medicine. IAC provides guidance and institutional reference to IPM leadership and faculty. In addition, the Internal Advisory Committee oversees and reviews utilization of research resources provided by IPM through the appointment of subcommittees.
Scientific Advisory Committee
The External Scientific Advisory Committee includes leading experts in the field of personalized medicine. This committee convenes annually with the IPM team and faculty and provides a comprehensive review of the IPM progress and makes recommendations for future planning of IPM.
Community Advisory Panel
The Community Advisory Panel includes active leaders and members from the communities that Mount Sinai serves who have an interest and influence in improving health and healthcare for their communities. The Community Advisory Panel helps IPM ensure that all of our patients and the broader community, including underrepresented minorities, understand the promise of personalized medicine and are represented at all stages of research and treatment.
Philanthropic Leadership Council
The Philantropic Leadership Council will be comprised of individuals who have demonstrated an intellectual interest in the area of personalized or gene-based medicine and who have a shared commitment to supporting this research enterprise within The Mount Sinai Medical Center. Membership will include individuals who are aligned with one or more of the strategic objectives of the Institute for Personalized Medicine.
