My research interest lies in identifying factors that influence substance abuse outcomes and treatment response. Specifically, I am interested in the complex interaction of neurobiological, social and environmental variables that affect abusers' behaviors and drug use relapse. Innovative projects such as translational studies, which integrate preclinical and clinical efforts, appear as a promising strategy to reach a better understanding of this interaction.
