Clinical Research Program in Livery Diseases

Gold Divider 4Col

Research Overview

Over the past fifteen years, the Division of Liver Disease has been a model of translational research. Our faculty has participated in important clinical trials including those evaluating novel HCV therapies, antifibrotics, treatments for hepatocellular carcinoma and diagnostics, and have spearheaded the development of a clinical research program that has kept Mount Sinai at the forefront of evolving medical therapies for chronic liver diseases. The Division has nationally recognized training programs in liver disease for both the medical house staff and advanced Hepatology Fellows, including an NIH Training Grant offering opportunities for formal training in clinical research. This commitment to our training environment was recently highlighted by the awarding of at least one or more AASLD/Schering Advanced Hepatology Fellowships to Divisional trainees in each of the past six years, more than any institution in the country.
