The primary mission of the Department of Dermatology is to provide outstanding dermatological care in a cost-effective manner to all adult and pediatric patients seen at Mount Sinai. The Department of Dermatology manages patients in the dermatology clinic, in the faculty practice offices, and on the Consult Service. The Department has several divisions and units, including a Phototherapy Unit, a Division of Dermatologic Surgery, an Inpatient Consultative Service, and a Dermatopathology Division. The Division of Dermatologic Surgery offers a wide variety of dermatologic procedures, including Mohs surgery, cosmetic surgery, and laser surgery.
