Dr. Yang is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery with Mount Sinai School of Medicine. A graduate of the New York University School of Medicine in 1982, he completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the Hospital for Joint Disease-Orthopaedic Institute in New York City. In 1990, he was appointed Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at Elmhurst Hospital Center. He presently maintains that position in addition to his orthopaedic practice at The Mount Sinai Hospital.
He has been a member of the Mount Sinai faculty since 1989 and his practice includes the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries (fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains. He also specializes in total joint replacement and skeletal reconstruction (nonunions and malunions). He has published many peer reviewed articles in these areas.
He is board certified and recertified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Yang is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is an active member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, Academic Orthopaedic Society, American Fracture Association and Chinese American Medical Society.
