Dr. Parag Sheth is the Director of Spinal Intervention and is Board Certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Management. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University with honors, SUNY- Stony Brook Medical School, and St. Vincent's Medical Center's Rehabilitation Residency Program, where he was named Chief Resident. He went on to complete fellowship training at The Mayo Clinic in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation and then joined the Mount Sinai staff in 1994.
He has lectured extensively on the diagnosis and treatment of low back pain and serves as course director for a yearly cadaveric dissection and weekly musculoskeletal lecture series. He has been awarded the Avital Fast Award for resident teaching and the "Department Teacher of the Year" award in 2000.
His research has been published in Nature, Lancet, and The American Journal of Sports Medicine. He practices a modern, comprehensive, and thorough approach to diagnosis and management of back and neck pain, as well as other joint injuries. State-of-the-art interventional techniques and electrodiagnostic testing are performed when appropriate.
