Human Atherosclerosis Study

Role of Haptoglobin Genotype and Diabetes Mellitus in Human Atherosclerosis

This study is to determine the inner workings of the cells responsible for the Haptoglobin genotype (genetic biomarker in diabetes mellitus). The number of subjects to be enrolled at this site are 200.

    Patients with Diabetes Mellitus, who will undergo X-ray visualization of blood vessels in the leg (peripheral catheterization) at the cardiac cath lab will be enrolled in this study.
