Lori A. Montagna, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics. She is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. She completed her M.D. at the University of California, San Diego, and her B.S. at the University of California, Davis. She is the Co-Director of the Mount Sinai Pediatric Emergency Care Consultation Project, a program to optimize the care of children in community emergency departments.
Dr. Montagna's research interests include fevers in the young infant, preventive medicine in the emergency department, and the effects of endurance racing.
Dr. Montagna's other interests include international emergency medicine and sports medicine. She has been a Guest Lecturer at the Hospital Regional Infantil 'Dr. Arturo Grullon', Santiago, Dominican Republic and at the Prishtine University Hospital, Prishtine, Kosovo. She is also a medical captain for the ING NYC Marathon and she has served as assistant medical director for several of the Racing the Planet series endurance competitions.
