Sita Chokhavatia is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Her interests include irritable bowel syndrome, gastrointestinal motility disorders, geriatric gastroenterology and clinical gastroenterology

Dr. Chokhavatia's research focus is in irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), chronic constipation (in all adults including the elderly) and pain in GI diseases specifically the overlap of IBS and other organic GI diseases.
