Dr. Ilene Wilets is a senior investigator in the Department of Emergency Medicine. She is also Vice Chair for the Mount Sinai Institutional Review Board and a Research Subject Advocate for the General Clinical Research Center. Her academic interests include the ethical basis of emergency research without consent, literacy and informed consent, and patient decision-making for research participation.
