William Redd's current research addresses five broad areas: 1) Classical (Pavlovian) conditioning during cancer treatment, 2) Cognitive-behavioral intervention to reduce distress during invasive medical procedures, 3) Psychobehavioral factors in nonadherence to cancer screening guidelines, 4) Long-term adjustment in mothers of bone marrow transplant survivors, and 5) Posttraumatic stress disorders in cancer.
A major component of his current clinical research is the study of how to increase participation in colorectal cancer screening among medically underserved minority groups.
