Dr. Gatto's practice includes all aspects of pediatric and adult spinal problems with special interests in trauma, scoliosis, degenerative disease and the advancement of minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Gatto is a fellowship trained specialist in spinal surgery and minimally invasive techniques. He is a graduate of the Albany Medical College of Union University where he completed his orthopaedic residency training. He went on Albany Medical Center and affiliated hospitals to complete a post residency training fellowship in disease, disorders, and surgery of the spine. In addition to scoliosis, trauma, tumor and degenerative spine surgery, he has had residency and fellowship training in endoscopic techniques. These techniques include laparoscope, and microscope assisted spinal surgery, which help to limit incisions and dissections yet allow visualization for safe surgery.
