Dr. Nowak-Wegrzyn is a clinician and a researcher in the Jaffe Food Allergy Institute. Her research interests focus on the mechanisms of outgrowing egg and milk allergy, allergy to fruits and vegetables (so-called "oral allergy syndrome"), and food protein-induced syndrome (FPIES). Dr. Nowak-Wegrzyn is a recipient of a NIH NIAID Award to study immunological basis of egg allergy. Dr. Nowak-Wegrzyn supervises 2 pediatric allergy clinics per week and is involved in the teaching of fellows and residents. She is a member of American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and a member of the executive committee of the New York Allergy and Asthma Society.
