Dr. Chichin received her diploma in nursing from Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey, her B.S. from St. Thomas Aquinas College, her M.S. from the College of New Rochelle, and her Ph.D. from Fordham University. The Co-Director of the Greenberg Center on Ethics at The Jewish Home and Hospital, Dr. Chichin has also been an adjunct assistant professor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine since 1992. She has been the Principal Investigator on a number of research projects focusing on palliative care and end-of-life ethical issues that impact upon patients and nursing home staff. She has received funding from the United Hospital Fund, the Greenwall Foundation, and the New York State Department of Health Dementia Grants Project. Dr. Chichin appeared on the PBS special, "On Our Own Terms: Moyers on Dying."
