Dr. Bleiweiss is an internationally known surgical pathologist specializing in breast pathology. He is a professor of Pathology, Chief of Surgical Pathology, and Director of the Division of Breast Pathology. He is an active participant in national clinical breast cancer trials and has led the Breast Pathology Cadre of Cancer and Leukemia Group B, one of the Cooperative Clinical Oncology Groups sponsored by the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Bleiweiss has published numerous and book chapters and is the first author of a textbook correlating radiologic and pathologic findings in breast core biopsies. He serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for several peer-reviewed journals, and has played a leadership role in many pathology and multidisciplinary breast cancer-focused societies, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
