Dr. Bret Nelson is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine. He is the Associate Site Director of the residency program based at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He is also the Director of the Mount Sinai program in ultrasound training.

Dr. Nelson's research interests include ultrasound, education, airway management, and asthma. He is currently involved in several ultrasound research projects including trauma sonography, bedside cardiac echocardiography, and ectopic pregnancy evaluation. In addition, Dr. Nelson is currently investigating the use of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) in acute asthma exacerbations.
