Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine

About Us

In our faculty practice, we routinely treat patients using the latest clinical developments. We often make use of our sophisticated state-of-the-art interventional bronchoscopy suite to diagnose and treat patients.

Using specialized techniques, we can diagnose diffuse lung disease, evaluate lung disease in immunosuppressed patients, and stage lung cancer.  By using interventional bronchoscopy, we can offer therapy to patients with central airway obstruction due to malignant or benign causes.

We consult regularly with colleagues to ensure we are providing the best, as well as the latest, care. Our goal is always to diagnose our patients quickly and accurately so that treatment may begin immediately.

We base our diagnosis and treatment efforts on the needs of our patients. Lung disease affects all ages and ethnic groups. However, it is more prevalent in the immunocompromised, those with cardiovascular disease, smokers, workers in certain occupations, and the elderly. It frequently increases in prevalence and severity with advancing age.

Current advancements in research – including the study of new drug therapies and other forms of treatment -- mean that more people with lung diseases, including cancer, are living fuller lives.

Each of us at the Mount Sinai Pulmonology Faculty Practice Associates is proud to be in the forefront of treatment and research. In collaboration with our colleagues in the Irving J. Selikoff Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine, we offer clinical support to workers exposed to environmental hazards.

Equally important to quality of life is the ability to get a good night’s sleep. At the state-of-the-art Mount Sinai Center for Sleep Medicine, board-certified sleep specialists staff a full-service sleep diagnosis and treatment program for adults and children with sleep disorders.

We are participating in The Mount Sinai Medical Center study of the impact of environmental agents on workers and others in the aftermath of the 9/11 tragedy.

Beyond the superb care we are dedicated to providing to our patients, equally important to us is the knowledge that we are providing that care in a cheerful, dignified, and respectful manner to all.
